Daydream Meadow, designed by Susan Filer for the Pattern Place

The inspiration for this design came when lazing on a picnic rug gazing up at the sky while the tall meadow grasses swayed gently in the breeze. Such a prefect place for a daydream.

Finished size :  22 ½” x 32”, (57cm x 81cm) approximately.

This is a whole cloth quilt designed to show case your machine (or hand) stitching. Follow the full size pattern sheets or use them as inspiration to create your own meadow daydreams. This is a simple design with lots of options; choose to paint the quilt background as we have or use a purchased fabric to create the feel of the soft afternoon sun. Stitch the grasses and flowers around the edge then add depth and drama by hand colouring some of the leaves and flowers in the design. Full painting and hand colouring instructions are included within this pattern. A stunning way to try new techniques resulting in a, truly individual and inspirational, modern wall quilt.
